Ah me oh my! Fall break has come and gone..... my how time flies! This weekend is full of Sewanee's Homecoming and it has been a joy to see so many familiar faces. The weather has a slight chill to it, but the sun is out and it looks like the football game will go on as scheduled. Sorry for the lack of updates.... schoolwork took over for a while! crazy like that! Hope all is well with you?!-- This is my sewanee bow-tie (tied it myself!)

Week Four
http://picasaweb.google.com/abigailmoon/SewaneePhotosOfSchoolTheologGameSept21#
Hey there!
Well, the semester is in full swing. I live in the library....and go home to walk the dog. This afternoon we had the first Theolog Intermural Football game. Needless to say the SAE's were younger, faster and unfortunately that translates to more points on the scoreboard too. And we all left the field to take Creeds tests and finish our studies. Fran McKendree is here this weekend, so i have split my time with the library and the dog..... fun fun fun... click on the link and you will see the pictures of the game!

Bridal Vail Falls
Well, we would call it more of a trickle! Rob came up for Matriculation (no theme going here i promise) and has been here all weekend which has been marvelous! He has kept busy while i have had reading to do and then more reading to do! Today we worshipped at Otey and then headed to Bridal Veil Falls for an afternoon hike (thank you Sewanee Magazine for all the directions and details i would have forgotten!)... It was lovely and fun and the dogs are now passed out!

Matriculation Day!
Matriculation ("transitive verb : to enroll as a member of a body and especially of a college or university" according to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary)...... August 28th 2008. Rob came up for our official signing of the book of the School of Theology. Sewanee is known for its traditions and this is one celebrates the installment of a new dean of academic affairs and the enrollment of all the new students this fall. SO, we lined up alphabetically with our sponsors (upper class seminarians) and signed our names in the book, shook the vice-chancellor's hand (a.k.a. the president of the college) and then sat back down. It was lots of fun and a wonderful dinner followed. Rob came up on Thursday night and is here until Monday morning....sooooo Grace the wondermutt has Aerial and Jolson to play with all weekend. Also- we got wireless finally installed in the house!!! YAHOO!

Mass Emails
Well, regardless of how impersonal Mass Emails are, I love to share information. It was great fun to send the email 48 hours ago giving everyone my mailbox number and email and phone numbers. For the past 48 hours i have been reading "returned" mail, but also great emails from many of you and hearing what you have been up to also! THANK YOU
This morning i was walking Grace (the wonder mutt) and was reading responses on my blackberry and suddenly heard a noise. I looked up and realized Grace and I had just intruded on a white-tailed deer's morning munch of grass! (I know it was white-tailed because that is about all i saw of it as it ran away!).. never fear we saw four more as i put my blackberry down and just enjoyed the greenery of Sewanee in the 6am light.
Many of you might be curious as to what classes I am taking. I finally know- or have the schedule as of right now. As a junior they pretty much have set our schedule for us except for one elective (a language: Pastoral Spanish, New Testament Greek or Old Testament Hebrew).... So: It's Church History I, The Creeds, Spirituality for Ministry, Singing the Word and the elective.. i think i am taking Greek.....they all sound so great! And tonight we had the ministry fair... I am currently enrolled to participate in the Phon-a-thon (so unblock your phones you alums!) and helping with the youth on Thursday nights (go figure!)....oh and Choir! :)
Photos next post!
