SNOW!

Yep, it's true..... I did not believe them, but it is true.... We had snow last night. Lots of lovely flurries and i was hoping more would stick for photos this morning, but no luck there. I guess that is better since we all have to get around on the roads today.

My apologies for less updates recently! IT's been busy! Sally Armstrong came up last weekend (YEAH FUN) and then of course there has been homework to do! This weekend was very quiet. No visitors, no schedule, and it was conviently dark and rainy all day on Saturday. A perfect winter weekend to "catch up". At the end of Saturday I met up with classmates at Shenanigan's and ran into Rachel (class of 1998) and Andy! We had a wonderful time laughing and telling stories! Well, it's off to church I go!

Crates

Grace has a crate. I did not believe in "crate-ing" dogs until i came home to the photo in this post. We started with the crate 4 weeks ago and Grace loves it. I happen to love it also. We have not seen a kitchen like the photo since the crate. AND, she has not had an accident in the crate.....Did i say i like the crate?
Hope you are all well, that is about all the fun in the world of Grace and Abi!

Lady of the Light, Grant Recipient, and Fred Craddock

Well, it was DuBose Lectures time. I was asked to be on the DuBose Lecture Committee and like a good Junior, I said, "Sure."
The fun began at registration, seeing familiar faces and welcoming folks back to the mountain. My rector was here and so were many friends from over the years and places!
Well as a committee member, I was given a host of tasks. The primary task during lectures was to be the "flashlight girl". My role was to help light the stairs that go up and down from the stage for the speakers as they went up and down to the stage. With great excitement I carried my flashlight to the corner and "lit" the way. Our speaker was very amused and made a comment about "giving a grant to the stairway and lighting personnel" at the begining of the second lecture. Today the joke continued and i was given an honorary degree as the "Lady of the light". Dr Fred Craddock is a kind man and it was a gift to help out with the lectures. I am sure I will never live down the jokes that will come from my classmates about flashlights and such!
Hope all is well with all of you!

Reading Week

This Post is a bit backwards..... Fall Break Re-Cap..... The seminary has a "fall reading week". This is a little different than the College's Fall Break. First, reading week is longer. Second, we had A LOT of work due post reading week. SO, During Reading week I spent a lot of time in the library, working on an OT paper, Creeds paper, Spirituality for Ministry Essay, and Church History Paper. Never fear, Rob got here late Wednesday night and I did play a little too. We had a lovely three days of fun with a trip to the Jack Daniels Distillery and also to Rock City. We also just had a lovely Sewanee Fog Day too.

Week Four

http://picasaweb.google.com/abigailmoon/SewaneePhotosOfSchoolTheologGameSept21#
Hey there!
Well, the semester is in full swing. I live in the library....and go home to walk the dog. This afternoon we had the first Theolog Intermural Football game. Needless to say the SAE's were younger, faster and unfortunately that translates to more points on the scoreboard too. And we all left the field to take Creeds tests and finish our studies. Fran McKendree is here this weekend, so i have split my time with the library and the dog..... fun fun fun... click on the link and you will see the pictures of the game!

Bridal Vail Falls

Well, we would call it more of a trickle! Rob came up for Matriculation (no theme going here i promise) and has been here all weekend which has been marvelous! He has kept busy while i have had reading to do and then more reading to do! Today we worshipped at Otey and then headed to Bridal Veil Falls for an afternoon hike (thank you Sewanee Magazine for all the directions and details i would have forgotten!)... It was lovely and fun and the dogs are now passed out!
