December 26th, 1948 was a special day indeed! Oma and Opa got married in LaCrosse, Wisconson at Oma Austy's home. 60 years, 3 children, and 6 grandchildren later we were able to celebrate the occasion one more time with them! Accompanied by several of their friends, we toasted them and their wonderful marriage! They are going for 70!

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve Day was spent hiking in Sabino Canyon. Dad, Rob, and I went off a hiking mid day and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine of the day! We returned to the house and got ready for the big family feast with all aunts and uncle present and accounted for! Family portraits were taken and Presents were geoffnet!
And the Journey Continues!
We arrived in Las Vegas December 23rd.... WAHOOOO. The drive from Vegas to Tucson is 380 miles. We were going to stop at the Hoover Damm on the way, but realized there was no need to stop. Traveling speeds approaching and on the damm was 5 miles an hour. We saw plenty of the damm without even stopping. Rob enjoyed seeing the Southwest topography upclose for the first time and Abi enjoyed calling out all the little towns we passed in the car.
